Christensen Talks to Congress About Healthy Forest Restoration Act

Norman L. Christensen Jr., professor of ecology and former dean of the Nicholas School, testified before Congress about the Healthy Forest Restoration Act of 2003. Christensen told the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry that he supports the “intent” of the bill to protect “communities, watersheds and… at risk lands from catastrophic wildfire,” but the bill needs to be improved in five specific ways.
