Nicholas School Creates New Gift Clubs to Recognize Students

The Nicholas School Gift Club recognition program is an opportunity to publicly thank generous supporters of the Nicholas School Annual Fund. This year we are introducing new giving levels to recognize leadership support and consecutive giving to our annual funds. (See below)

In addition to the Clarence F. Korstian Society and the A. S. Pearse Society, we are pleased to announce the creation of the Willard “Doc” Berry Society to honor those who support the Division of Earth and Ocean Sciences, formerly the Department of Geology. An internationally known scientist of micropaleontology, Berry founded the department at Duke in 1936.

Members of the Environmental Explorers and Dean’s Advocates will be offered unique opportunities to have “insider” experiences with our faculty, students and other experts.

And those faithful donors who are consistent contributors will be acknowledged as Environmental Pacesetters for their years of loyal support.

The Annual Fund is a critical tool in providing support to the students, the faculty and the facilities that enables the Nicholas School to fulfill its mission of creating the knowledge and the leaders who will shape tomorrow’s earth.

Every gift to the Annual Fund is valued because the cumulative effect of many gifts makes a significant impact on the quality of environmental education we provide to the future policy makers and scientists of our world.
