R/V Melville

Today and last night we brought in some fantastic dredges with big rocks and lots of glass to spare. We are currently on dredge 42 (see photo), and members of the scientific team are placing bets on how high the count will get. Due to the heavy workload, we were all famished and were grateful for a delicious t-bone prepared by our own Jay Erickson (see photo). We had planned on interviewing the Captain tonight, however we were unable to wrestle him away from a large school of mahi-mahi (three of which were caught tonight). This evening the sky cleared just enough to see a gorgeous sunset, which most of the crew watched from the promenade. By Jenny McGuire
