Alison Stimpert
Alison Stimpert is a PhD candidate at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. She studies the acoustic behavior and social sounds of humpback whales on their feeding grounds in the Atlantic (Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary) and on their breeding grounds in Hawai`i, using suction cup acoustic tags (DTAGs and Bprobes) and passive acoustic recording techniques. She thinks cows and ducks are pretty much the funniest animals, but is hoping to be convinced to add penguins to the list.
