Lindsey Peavey
Currently a Coastal Environmental Management master's student in the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, Lindsey holds a B.S. in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami (FL). She was recently awarded the Doris Duke Conservation Fellowship for the 2009-2010 academic year. Before coming to Duke, she worked with non-profit organizations, government agencies, community members and fishermen in California and Northwest Mexico to research, protect and educate about endangered sea turtles and threatened natural resources of the eastern Pacific. Her research interests include the ecology and conservation of migratory marine megafauna. On MISHAP, Lindsey is a marine mammal observer on the visual operations team.
