You Know It’s Finals Week at the Nicholas School When…

by alex last modified 2007-12-14 17:25

A Letterman-inspired tribute to the last week of fall semester

10. You can’t find a parking spot anywhere near the LSRC. On Sunday.

9. You wish a non-Nicholas School student a good rest of the weekend. On Monday.

8. It becomes absolutely necessary that you see all of the movies on the AFI’s "100 Greatest Movies of All Time" list. Right now.

7. You decide to clean your apartment.

6. Now seems like a great time to load your entire CD collection into your iTunes library.

5. You have the sudden urge to bake chocolate chip muffins.

4. You start putting stamps on New Year’s cards that don’t really need to be mailed for three more weeks.

3. Numbers 8 through 4 all have to happen in the same day.

2. You get excited about your discovery of a “new” computer cluster.

And the number 1 reason you know it's finals week at the Nicholas School...

1. You decide to write a list entitled “You know it’s finals week at the Nicholas School when…”

Overheard at the Nicholas School this week:

“I have this great bilingual tire pressure gauge. Sometimes I check the air pressure even when I don’t need to, just to hear it speak to me in Spanish.”

I guess when there is no air in the tire the gauge says the same thing in both languages... "no go".
