Assateague Island Alliance (and my MP) Continues to Move Forward

by brandon last modified 2008-03-19 08:10

The Alliance has received some significant interest from the local community after an article in the local paper.

After Board meetings and working with other nonprofits for ideas, the Assateague Island Alliance is continuing move forward with some strong momentum behind it.  Our application for nonprofit status is under review and we are all working diligently to finish developing the membership program to be rolled out this summer.  We received some recent press as well that has helped introduce us to the community.

Over Sand Vehicles

Posted by Cliff Fairweather at 2008-04-11 10:55
More of a question, actually: I am a grad student at Virginia Tech and am researching over sand vehicle issues at Assateague Island National Seashore. I am trying to identify stakeholders in this issue. As a "freinds of" group, I recognize that AIA probabaly does not have a position on this, but I was wondering if you were aware of any envrionmental groups who do and might be regarded as stakeholders? The only one I've been able to identify so far is the Bluewater Network.

Thank you for any information you might provide.
