Stipends
Salaries vary widely depending on the type
of employer, job locations, individual qualifications
and previous experience. However, the following
stipend ranges by employment sector have recently
been offered to Nicholas School students. This
information may be useful as a guideline to
determine a summer stipend for your organization's
summer internship. Internships are typically
10 -12 weeks per summer although students are
encouraged to work 11-13 weeks to make the most
of the experience.

Business/Industry -- $8,500
- $16,000
High end was a combination stipend/tuition
scholarship

Consulting -- $15.00 - $22.00/hour

Federal government -- $7,500
- $10,000 for 10 week projects

Nonprofit organizations --
$3,000 - $5,000

International Conservation
Internships $2,800 - $7,000
Grant funding or matching funds secured
by student; grant requests require a defined
project and sponsorship by a host organization
