Glenda is an open-minded and inspiring career management professional with a helpful nature and drive to get things accomplished. Her passion is to share her talents with those seeking theirs. Since joining the Nicholas School in 2003, Glenda has four times been awarded outstanding staff member by the graduate students.
Glenda previously worked as an outplacement career consultant coaching and facilitating career workshops for over 2000 clients. Additionally, Glenda has 15 years human resources management experience in corporate and manufacturing settings. During her time in industry, she earned the internationally recognized Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Society of Human Resource Management. Presently she serves as membership co-chair for NCACE (North Carolina Association of Colleges and Employers) and student outreach chair for the Triangle Chapter of SWEP (Society of Women Environmental Professionals).
Glenda earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of North Texas and Master of Arts, summa cum laude, at North Carolina Central University. Being a native Texan, football is her sport of choice. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the Dallas Cowboys with her husband and son (a Pittsburgh Steelers fan) on Sunday afternoons.
