Preventing Childhood Lead Exposure

A set of projects funded by the CDC and the NIEHS Office of the Director that use GIS technology, county tax assessor, blood lead screening, U.S. Census data, and other spatial data layers to create priority models to direct childhood lead exposure prevention activities across the state of North Carolina and nationally. The project has successfully built a strong methodological basis for GIS mapping at various geographic scales and has focused on efforts to target prevention at the household-level.
