Duke Environmental Leadership Program
Admissions
Men and women from all backgrounds and interests are invited to apply for admission to the DEL-Master of Environmental Management degree as outlined below. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2009.
Admissions Policy
The Duke Environmental Leadership Master of Environment Management (DEL-MEM) program
advances the Nicholas School mission by training environmental professionals
who analyze and interpret scientific information to solve environmental
problems and manage natural resources. Graduates of this program
are expected to understand the scientific bases of environmental problems
as well as the social, political, and economic factors that determine
effective policy solutions. It is the policy of the Nicholas School
and Duke Environmental Leadership Office to seek students who care
passionately about the environment, who have the preparation and experience
to succeed in studying the natural and social scientific and legal
aspects of environmental issues, and who hold or seek leadership roles
as environmental professionals and stewards. Application procedures
solicit materials used to determine a prospective student's qualifications
for study in these areas. Complete admissions information may be found
below.
