Organized races and fundraising walks within the Forest and on the nearby Al Buehler Cross Country Trail - which surrounds the Duke University Golf Course - must be approved in advance by the Office of the Duke Forest.
In order for events to be approved, sponsoring organizations must satisfy the University's requirements concerning parking, liability coverage, emergency medical personnel, traffic control, signage/advertising and restroom availability.
