Oahu (Mon., 1/19/09): Albatross, Monk Seals, and Whales at Ka'ena Point- video

by Wendy Goyert last modified Jan 25, 2009 11:06 AM

Today we spent the day hiking out to Ka'ena Point in the Northwestern corner of Oahu. While we helped band Laysan Albatross, Humpback Whales breached offshore and an endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal crawled onto the rocks to sunbathe. Not a bad day in paradise!

Wendy,
It's looking beautiful out there. Thanks for sharing clips of the albatross. Looks like you have the Flip cam down. I tried using mine to capture the sledding action at the Nich school last week and my shots were all over the place (see http://nicholas.duke.edu/[…]/).

hard work!
