360 Degree Tours of the Duke Marine Lab: Historic Beaufort

The Duke University Marine Lab is located on Pivers Island in the historic Town of Beaufort behind North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The view from Beaufort encompasses the Rachel Carson Estuarine Research Reserve and Pivers Island, both within easy boating distance. The area’s barrier islands, sounds and estuaries are rich in diverse natural resources and habitats, making them a haven for both nature lovers and those interested in the pursuit of coastal and marine science and policy.
