360 Degree Tours of the Duke Marine Lab: Rachel Carson Estuarine Research Reserve

The Rachel Carson Estuarine Research Reserve, adjacent to the Marine Laboratory, is nestled between the Albemarle-Pamlico Estuary -- one of the largest estuarine systems in North America – and the Gulf Stream. The Duke University Marine Lab has a vital role to play in studying first-hand the oceanic and coastal processes of the western Atlantic Ocean and making sound, scientific data available to policy-makers and others whose day-to-day decisions affect the health of the planet and the future of its citizens.
