Courtney's Bio
Courtney Shephard is a first year MEM student within the Environmental Economics and Policy concentration. She is interested in food and agricultural policy, shadow ecology, the links between social conflict and resource scarcity, and international environmental law. Courtney grew up hiking, skiing, camping, and enjoying an annual minimum of 300 days of sunshine in the Colorado Rockies. She received her B.A. in International Political Economy and Environmental Management from The Colorado College in May 2009. During her four years at Colorado College, Courtney co-founded Relay For Life at Colorado College, conducted training sessions around the western United States for the American Cancer Society, improved campus dining with the National Sodexo Student Board of Directors, and worked with the Office of Corporate Citizenship at Sodexo. She enjoys yoga, color coding, organizing, kickboxing, and baking cupcakes during her breaks from the demands of academia.
