Robyn Walker

Robyn Walker

Robyn Walker is a second year CEM interested in marine mammal protection and conservation.

Hailing from Almonte, Ontario (Canada), Robyn grew up learning about freshwater ecology, and dreaming of the ocean. In 2007, she completed a combined honours degree in journalism and biology from Carleton University in Ottawa, then went on to work with the Harbor Discoveries day camp at the New England Aquarium in Boston, and later with the Whale Center of New England in Gloucester, MA, studying population dynamics and behaviors of humpback and North Atlantic Right whales. After a successful first year at the Nicholas School, Robyn spent part of her summer studying killer whales on Vancouver Island, British Columbia with an organization called Straitwatch. Through these experiences she hopes to gain the skills needed to work for a non-profit whale research organization.
