Bell
Susan Bell has served as vice president for The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation since 2000. She works with the board and staff to continue to improve the effectiveness of the Foundation’s programs. In addition, Bell is Senior Fellow for Energy and Climate and directs a portfolio of environmental grants in the United States, Europe, China, Mexico, and Brazil designed to advance energy efficiency and renewable energy and to address the problem of global warming.
Prior to working with the Hewlett Foundation, Bell spent over fourteen years in strategic planning, development, and communications at Northwestern University, the Sierra Club, and Stanford University. At Stanford, she helped direct the Environmental and Natural Resources Law & Policy Program. Bell also serves on the board of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation and the European Climate Foundation. She is a graduate of Duke University.
