The Nicholas Institute occupies two spaces on Duke University's West Campus in Durham, N.C. It is headquartered in the Levine Science Research Center (LSRC), an interdisciplinary research facility situated on Research Drive and has satellite offices at 2101 Campus Drive. Directions to both locations can be found below.

From the RDU Airport/Raleigh/East Carolina:

Via I-40 West towards Durham/Chapel Hill

to Headquarters in LSRC:

Exit onto the Durham Freeway (N.C. 147). Take Durham Freeway to U.S. 15-501 S. exit toward Chapel Hill.
Continue on U.S. 15-501 to the second exit (#107), marked Duke Univ. West Campus, a right-lane exit for N.C. 751.
Turn LEFT onto N.C. 751 S., go under the freeway.
At third traffic light, go left onto Science Dr.
Cross over TowerView Dr. into the cul de sac and the cab can drop you off there or if you have rented a car you can park in the parking deck on your right before you get to the cul de sac. You will see signs on the right for Visitor Parking.
Walk to the cul de sac and go down the stairs and the Levine Science Research Center bldg. is directly in front of you.
The Nicholas Institute is located in Wing A, to your left as you come down the stairs. Come in the double doors and turn left we’re in offices A113-116 on the left.

to Campus Drive location:

Merge onto Durham Freeway NC-147 N via exit 279B to Durham/Downtown
Take the US-70/Swift Ave exit to 9th St/Duke University East Campus
Take a LEFT on Swift Ave
Take a RIGHT onto Campus Drive (left side of street is called Myrtle, but they are the same)
Go two blocks down and look for a white house on the corner of Anderson and Campus Drive
Take a LEFT at Anderson and an immediate RIGHT into the parking lot behind the white house.
Visitors can park behind the house and come in the back entrance to the house between business hours 8-5.

From Chapel Hill:

Head north on Franklin to get onto 15-501 towards Durham
Take the NC-751 (exit 107) to Duke University West Campus
Take a RIGHT on Cameron Blvd/NC-751

to Headquarters in LSRC:

Go to 2nd light and turn left onto Science Drive. Follow down to the cul de sac and the cab can drop you off there or if you have rented a car you can park in the parking deck on your right before you get to the cul de sac. You will see signs on the right for Visitor Parking.

Turn LEFT at Chapel Dr

When arriving at the traffic circle, take the first exit onto Campus Dr

Arrive at 2101 Campus Drive, a white house at the corner of Anderson and Campus, parking is in the rear and limited, park across the street if you have a Duke ID

From Greensboro

Take I-40 East to I-85 North.
Merge onto NC-147 South via EXIT 172 toward Durham/Downtown/Research Triangle Park.
Take the Swift Ave. exit toward ninth St./Duke University East Campus.

to Headquarters in LSRC:

Turn right onto Swift Ave.

Turn right onto Duke University Road.

Turn right onto Towerview Road.

Turn left onto Science Dr.

From Washington Duke Inn

to Headquarters in LSRC:

Depart WDI and cross street at light onto Science Drive

Follow down to stop light and turn left onto Towerview

Follow down to 1st block (4 way stop) and turn right onto Circuit Dr.

Follow down and go thru stop sign bearing to the right.

At circle stay to the right onto Research Dr.

The Building on your right is the North Building, pass that building then turn right into what looks like a driveway. This driveway is between the North and the Levine Science Research Center Building

Follow down to the gate and press the “Call” button then the number 5

When answered tell them you are here to see Tim Profeta and give them your name. You will already be scheduled for a parking space.

to Campus Drive location:

Depart WDI and take a RIGHT onto Cameron blvd/NC-751

Turn LEFT at Duke University Rd

Turn LEFT at Chapel Rd
