The Ship's computer network consists of 10 pcs. Each computer has a designated use and a corresponding name. Please see list below.

CTD

Designated computer for CTD work. Windows 2000. Runs Seabird Seasave-Win 32 and SBEDataProcessing-Win32. CTD is a Dell Optiplex GX110 P3 700MHz, 128Mb RAM, 3 hard drives, 4 Gb, 6Gb, and 40Gb. CD-ROM and CD writer

ADCP

RD Instruments Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler data acquisition machine. Runs RDI VmDas, WINADCP, and other ADCP software. Gateway with Windows 2000. Intel P4 2.4GHz processor, 1Gb RAM, 120 Gb hard drive. CD-ROM

SCS

Runs Scientific Computer System (SCS) underway data management/storage software. All underway sensors on ship are logged and displayed with this pc. This includes, thermosalinograph, gps, depth, meterological, etc. Gateway with Windows 2000. Intel P4 1.8 GHz, 256 Mb RAM, Dual hard drives, 5Gb and 100Gb, CD/DVD-ROM, CD writer.

B2000P

Intended use is as a acquisition and playback machine for the Bathy 2000Psub-bottom profiler.

SERVER

Data storage machine and email computer. Gateway with Windows 2000. Contains Intel P4 2.4 GHz processor, 1 Gb RAM, Dual hard drives, 5Gb and 100Gb. CD-ROM and CD writer.

GENERALUSE

Located in Main Lab and is available for science party use. Email station for science party. Dell Dimention 4100 with Windows 2000. Contains Intel P3 1GHz, 256Mb RAM, 40Gb hard drive. CD-ROM and CD writer.

NOBELTEC

Located on bridge. Acts as navigation computer running Nobeltec navigation software. Dell Inspiron 531S with Windows Vista. Contains AMD 64 x2 dual core processor 2.3GHz, 3006Mb RAM. Dual hard drives, 288Gb and 10Gb. CD/DVD-ROM/writer.

BRIDGE

General use machine located on bridge. Acts as a SCS client to display underway data to watch personnel. Dell Opiplex GX270 with Windows 2000. Intel P4 2.3GHz processor, 256Mb RAM. 37Gb hard drive. CD-ROM and CD writer.

DATA

General use machine located in Tech Cabin. Dell Opiplex GX620 with Windows XP. Intel P4 3.4GHz processor, 1Gb RAM. 232Gb hard drive. CD/DVD-ROM and CD/DVD writer.

EMAIL

Email administration computer located on bridge. Dell Opiplex GX620 with Windows XP. Intel P4 23.4GHz processor, 1Gb RAM. 232Gb hard drive. CD/DVD-ROM/writer.
