Reservations and Cancellation policy
Reservations for visiting groups, classrooms, research spaces, dorms, dining, and catering can be made by contacting Dominick Brugnolotti, drb1@duke.edu, 252-504-7652. The Duke Marine Lab makes space available to visiting groups on a first- come, first-served basis, after setting the Marine Lab academic schedule.
There are 141 dorm style beds on the campus with approximately 90 beds available for visiting groups during the fall and spring semester. The dining hall can accommodate 108 persons. A 20% deposit is established at the time of booking for the number of persons booked, based on expected room/board, boat time and facilities reserved. This deposit will not be charged unless the reservation is cancelled. The reservation count may be adjusted one time by up to 20%, until 30 days prior to the arrival date. All reserved numbers and associated charges are final four business days in advance of the scheduled arrival date and will be invoiced accordingly. Fees and deposits will not be waived if a group chooses to cancel for anticipated inclement weather.
All marine operations reservations are subject to safety conditions on the water. In the event of weather related evacuations, weather safety or equipment related issues, all fees and deposits will be waived. It is the responsibility of the skipper to determine weather related safety.
Any questions related to reservations please contact Dominick Brugnolotti, drb1@duke.edu, 252-504-7652.
