Research Interests:

  • Conservation Biology
  • Ecology of marine protected species
  • Animal Behavior and Physiology
  • Bioacoustics
  • Effects of anthropogenic sound on the auditory physiology and behavior of animals

Education:

  • M.E.M. Coastal Environmental Management and Certificate in Geospatial Analysis, Nicholas School of the Environment, Duke University 2005
  • B.A. Biology and Environmental Studies, Gettysburg College 2003

Bio:

  • My current research interests lie in understanding the impacts of marine anthropogenic sound on the physiology and behavior of marine organisms. My dissertation focuses on measuring the in‐water and in‐air hearing sensitivity of sea turtles and evaluating the effects of marine sound on the hearing and behavior of sea turtles.
