Research Interests:

  • Bio-physical interactions in marine ecology and the application of spatial analysis and landscape ecology techniques to marine systems

Education:

  • B.A. Biology (honours) University of Guelph, Guelph, ON Canada

Bio:
My research interests focus on the importance of local oceanographic features and associated prey distributions to the foraging habitat of top predators. My dissertation investigates the mechanics of oceanographic features relative to foraging seabirds and their prey in both Onslow Bay, North Carolina and in the Bay of Fundy, Canada. Aside from my work on seabirds, I am working on research projects investigating the distribution of cetaceans in relation to physical and oceanographic habitat features in the Hawaiian Islands.
