Summer 2010 Term I Courses
(May 17-June 18, 2010)
The Marine Laboratory, set within the natural beauty of the Outer Banks of coastal North Carolina, offers a picturesque residential campus, where learning in small, intimate groups takes place and students have direct access to the area's natural resources while using the latest scientific innovations. Many of the courses include a field studies component.
Eligibility
The summer courses below are open to qualified college undergraduates, graduate
students, and postbaccalaureates. These courses are not open to high school
students.

Duke students:
To enroll, please email hnearing@duke.edu or ml_admissions@nicholas.duke.edu
and include which academic term you are interested in attending. All
Duke students in good standing are automatically accepted to study at
the Duke Marine Lab.
Non-Duke students:

*Enrollment to the Duke Marine Lab is first-come, first-served. Enrollment forms are accepted as long as space is still available.
Course Load
During Summer Term I students are allowed to take only one course. It is
a 5-week session and the majority of courses carry 1.5 course credits
(6 units or semester hours).
