The Difference
The Nicholas Environmental Media Fellowship Program is an intensive
month-long residential fellowship for mid-career journalists who
want to deepen their understanding of the environmental sciences
and policies shaping news today.
Offered by the Nicholas School of the Environment
at Duke University in conjunction with Duke's DeWitt Wallace
Center for Media and Democracy, the program was launched in 2004
to provide journalists with the opportunity for customized study,
exploration and investigation away from newsroom distractions
and deadline pressures.
Up to four fellowships are offered each year at our Durham and
Beaufort, NC Campuses.
