Marine Lab Director Cindy Van Dover Receives 2009 Meritorious Award

BEAUFORT, N.C. – Cindy Lee Van Dover, director of the Duke University Marine Lab, has been named a recipient of a 2009 Meritorious Award from Duke University.  Van Dover, who was cited for her executive leadership, was one of 25 faculty and staff members honored by the university with Meritorious Awards, as part of the university-wide Presidential Awards program.

Presidential Awards are the highest honors given to faculty and staff by the university. 

Van Dover and the other 24 Meritorious Award recipients, along with the five Presidential Award winners, were honored by President Richard Brodhead in a ceremony on April 22.
