I live in London with my boyfriend Steve and work as a
computer programmer for a big firm of solicitors. I came
to Madagascar to see the fascinating and diverse range of
wildlife and to hopefully also make a small contribution
towards preserving it. However, I also picked this particular
Earthwatch project because of the clear benefits it brings
to the local people – they run the camp where we stay and
all the profits go straight back to the women’s group of
the local village. It’s fantastic to see conservation working
with people instead of being in conflict with them!
