American’s First Day
by Jack Ashton
June 23, 2005
Any third world country is a shock when a first worlder
arrives. Antananarivo supplied exactly what you would expect.
An airport built in the dawn of aviation with computers for
check in but no security screening. It was nice to tell the
throng of taxi drivers I don’t need a taxi – one more plane
( with propellers ) and I’ll be in Mahajunga.
