First Day

Well I made it to Madagascar, on my birthday (normally the shortest day of the year, but this year, with the time differences I have had a birthday and a half). First impressions – wow - very poor country. Hording off the vultures at the airport was an experience (I’m glad I had met up with Elise on the plane otherwise it would have been quite intimidating). We spent the day at croc farm until our 6pm flight to Majunga. It was a pleasant and safe place to be. Dinner with Luke etc and then a nice relaxing sleep, I feel refreshed and ready for the interesting times ahead.
