Meeting the Earthwatch Team I

By mid-morning, we’d already met most of our team members. Nikki, Elise, and Julia arrived yesterday. Jack, Andrew Miller, Deanna, and Kirk arrived on the morning flight from to Majunga from Tana. We’ve spent the morning getting to know one another and writing dispatches at La Piscine Hotel. We’ll head to camp later this afternoon, arriving in time for dinner in the field. The rest of the team, arriving on the night flight from Tana, will come down in the project truck with Pierrot, arriving just in time to fall asleep in their tents. The whole group will make their introductions early tomorrow morning, before heading out for their first day in the field – hiking more than 30 kilometers in one day! Carrying traps, too!
