Wildlife under the spotlight

Night life in Ankarafansika
Night walks reveal the true extent of lemurs in the forest. Onlooking animals can’t escape their eyeshine being detected by a head torch. A short walk from camp and we spotted a number of mouse lemurs peering down from the treetops. A walk by the lake revealed crocodiles in waiting for an unsuspecting victim. The more patient spotlighter may also see the odd wooly or sportive lemur.
