Lemurs Marking Range

Working
in Ankarafantsika is a great pleasure for me because it an
easy place to walk and it is a best place to watch birds and
lemurs. My favorite animals are lemurs. When I see a lemur
I do not want to leave until it is gone.
One afternoon, when I walked in the forest,
I saw a group of brown lemurs. The group contained 10 individuals.
Some were resting on the tree and two among them were eating
dropped fruits on the ground. My visit surprised two of them;
they walked on the branch and marked their territory by scratching
their back and their armpits on the support. It was amusing
to observe their gestures. And I was very happy because it
was my first time to see a lemur marking its range. I was
standing about 15 minutes to admire their marvelous brown
pelage and their long bushy tail. It was funny too to see
one individual of the same brown lemur group laying on the
branch by its stomach and none its limbs clinging to its support.
It was very quiet and my visit did not bother him.
