Malagasy and the Environment
by Randrianasolo Jean Frederick
July 3, 2005

Malagasy and EnvironmentBefore days, the Malagasy people, they didn’t know yet: the importance of the forest. Sometimes they cut trees and were burning the forest, looking for money or something to eat. They burned because they needed a good place for planting rice, kasava, or some potatos. But they don’t think of the future in doing that. So that the forest has almost left now.

Malagasy and EnvironmentBut at now days I’m really happy to tell you about the Malagasy situation, because they already know how to protect the encironment, they stopped cutting all of the trees, the brush fire… Because the have many thoughts about the importance of the forest, and the country becomes rich by that. Bu tthey aren’t to protect the forest only…but the same with the animals like birds, lemurs, fossa who live at the forests.

But however they still need help from you guys, I mean from the big cities like New York or Paris France to teach them how to protect our environments.
