Stuart Pimm

Stuart Pimm, seen above with a friend, was co-PI of the fossa project for several years and an important funder of the research. He remains keenly interested in the project and has regularly supervised and sponsored master's students who work in the area. His interests lie in preventing the loss of forest ecosystems and the species that occur there. Madagascar is one such place, but he also has programmes in southern Africa, the Atlantic Coast forests of Brazil, Central America, and the Everglades.
