A conversation with Carl Safina, Co-Founder and President of Blue Ocean Institute, an international nonprofit conservation organization headquartered in East Norwich, New York, with an office in Hawaii.
Safina is the author of several award-winning books and articles. Of those Eye of the Abatross received the Year's Best Book for Communicating Science from the National Academies of Science, Medicine and Technology (2003), and, Song for The Blue Ocean earned the Los Angeles Times Best Nonfiction Selection Award and the Library Journal Best Science Book Selection Award (1998).
