DukeCard Office, Student-ID

A student identification card will be very important to you at Duke. It will allow you to do many things, including gaining access to the LSRC and other buildings after regular office hours when they are locked for security purposes. If you submit a request (see form included in first summer mailing) along with a passport photo directly to the DukeCard Office by August 1, your ID card should be ready for you to pick up in the Duke Card Office, located in room 100 West Union building, when you arrive on campus on August 18. If you are unable to take care of requesting your Duke card ahead of time, you may have your ID card made in the DukeCard Office during Orientation week; however, you should be aware that students in other schools and departments also will be having their cards made and you should expect to wait.
