Admitted Students Information

Registration
You may go to www.registrar.duke.edu (Select Students –> Schedule of Courses –> Schedule of Classes –> Select 2009 Fall Term from the drop down menu) to see the most current version of the Nicholas School’s fall course schedule. Courses are separated by subject area and most of your classes will be found under the ENVIRON and EOS headings. Course descriptions are available at the following link: http://www.nicholas.duke.edu/programs/courses/grad-environ.html.
Please expect additional changes to the course schedule throughout the rest of the summer.

Registration will take place during orientation. You will receive the name of your academic advisor on Monday, August 17 and you will schedule a meeting with your advisor and plan your course of study right away. Then on Wednesday, August 19th you will be able to register on-line if your academic advisor has cleared you.

ACES
Students may access course information, financial aid and account information, personal data and other types of information through “ACES.” Registration will be done through ACES as well. In order to access ACES, navigate to http://registrar.duke.edu/index.html, click on “Students” and then select ACES Login. Enter your Duke Net ID and your password. The first thing you will be required to do is provide contact and mailing information. Make sure that your MAIL address is current and accurate, that is the address the university uses to pull for all official mailings. You can update most of this information on-line at any time. From this link you can also look at the course schedule and when you are cleared by your advisor, you will be able to register for courses in ACES.
