Orientation to Environmental Health and Safety

The Duke Occupational and Environmental Safety Office (OESO) has made their web-based instruction available to Nicholas School students. This training includes sixteen web-based modules. You can take individual modules or complete the whole set and obtain a certificate of completion from the OESO. These modules are intended to introduce key occupational hazards and measures for controlling employee exposures. These modules also provide an introduction to relevant regulatory requirements regarding occupational health and safety.

To document your attendance, please print out a copy of your training history once you have completed the courses you intend to take and submit a copy to the Program Coordinator for Professional Studies, room A116A. After you log into training, you are provided a page with two tabs. The default tab shows the courses available. The second tab labeled training history will show the courses you have taken and passed.
