Statistics / Calculus Placement

As you know, a course in introductory applied statistics and a semester of calculus are prerequisites for all of the Nicholas School professional programs. The Enrollment Services office reviews the transcripts of incoming students and notifies those who don't appear to have met these prerequisites. In addition, during orientation we give diagnostic tests in calculus and in statistics to incoming students in order to help place students in appropriate courses at Duke. Here is some guidance on placement in statistics and calculus, particularly for those needing prerequisite-level courses.
