146S Science Technology and Policy: Review of major political, international, and technical factors which led to current world leadership of the United States in research and development. Examination of trends in federal and industry funding. Reasons for the federal government funding research, ways federal funds should be allocated, relationships among industry, government, and academia. Several current policy issues selected for in-depth analysis. Instructor: Ahearne.
