Introduction to research methods in the marine sciences through lectures and customized individual independent research. Lectures on all aspects of research including ethics, intellectual property, budgeting, laboratory and reporting practices, data analysis techniques, reporting and presenting. Draft manuscript and proposal for future research and travel to meeting required. C-L: Biology 188L. (Given at Beaufort, summer) Prerequisite: introductory biology and permission of instructor.
