How do I apply?
Application Checklist
- Online application.
- $75.00 application fee. Paid online via credit card or mailed via
check or money order.
- Personal statement. Uploaded with online application or mailed.
- 3 Letters of Recommendation, be sure to include recommendation
forms. Letters may be submitted online or mailed to the address below.
- Official transcripts. One copy from each college/university mailed.
Applicants currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
should wait until after fall grades have been posted before submitting
a transcript(s).
- Official GRE test scores submitted by ETS to Duke University’s
institution code 5156. Or, official GMAT score, if applicable.

- Official TOEFL test scores for International Applicants submitted
by ETS to Duke University’s institution code 5156. Or, IELTS score
report mailed to address below. Further details about both exams
may be found here >.
- Resume. Uploaded with online application or mailed.
Once you've submitted your application you should:
- Receive an email confirmation from The Nicholas School.
- Be able to “Track Your Status” of supporting documents if you
applied online. (Please allow 10–14 business days for our office
to update the “Track Your Status” section of your Web application)
- Follow up with recommenders. Online recommendations are tracked
in the recommendation section.
