Seeking Solutions to Plastic Pollution

Earth is awash in plastic. It litters our landscapes, fouls our oceans and rivers, poses risks to wildlife, and is increasingly turning up everywhere, including in our bodies. And because most plastic is made using fossil fuels, it’s also a significant driver of climate change. The Duke Plastic Pollution Working Group is working to find solutions, through innovative technologies, practices and policies that can help curb plastic waste, reduce its harmful impacts, and make Earth a greener, healthier home for us all.
