Lidia Berger, MEM, LEED Fellow is Director, Technical Core at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Her areas of expertise are focused on innovative sustainable design solutions and sustainable return on investment. 

Prior to USGBC, Ms. Berger served as Vice President, Sustainable Practice Director – Facilities at URS, where she directed the sustainable business development and strategic planning for the URS Facilities Business Line. 

Ms. Berger has been a member on a multitude of award-winning teams delivering sustainability-focused projects with clients ranging from corporations to government agencies. Ms. Berger is a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council’s National Capital Region Chapter. Berger was involved in the development of the LEED-CI rating system and served on the LEED-EB Core Committee. She currently sits on the Economics Committee of ISI. She is on the editorial advisory board of Eco-Structure magazine and is a nationally known speaker.
