Eliza Tortorella is a director in the U.S. Business Development group at National Grid Ventures, which is the competitive arm of international electric and gas utility National Grid. In her current role, Eliza leads project management for renewable energy activities including the recent acquisition of US wind and solar developer Geronimo Energy. During her six years at National Grid, she has worked in Global Procurement, New Energy Solutions and the Customer Organization where she developed supplier partnerships for NY REV demonstrations and supported the design and delivery of energy efficiency and renewable energy services. In addition to her MEM in energy and environment, Eliza earned a BA in political science from Colorado College in 2008. In her free time, Eliza enjoys volunteering with the Junior League of Boston’s Kids in the Kitchen cooking program and exploring the natural beauty of New England. She is married to fellow Nic Schooler John Tortorella (MEM’11).
