What is your previous work experience?

Prior to the Nicholas School, I worked as a management consultant to federal agencies. Through this work, I found a passion for analytics. My teams leveraged design thinking to create analytics tools that helped public officials better manage their programs, with focus areas ranging from forest management to COVID-19. Towards the end of my time as a consultant, I led an internal effort to build analytics tools that help my firm manage its sustainability transformation.

Why did you choose the Nicholas School?

When deciding between MBA programs, I chose Duke because the dual MEM/MBA degree offered a technical depth that I did not find in traditional MBA programs. Additionally, Duke’s university-wide Climate Commitment proved to me that the university is serious about directing its resource to address the climate crisis.

What are you looking forward to as an incoming Nicholas School student?

I’m looking forward to becoming part of a community that is resolved to make a difference in the environment! I’m also looking forward to developing a systems-level view of the sustainability challenge we face and potential solutions.

Do you have any areas of interest or special focus you will undertake during your time at the Nicholas School?

I hope to intersect my passions of mobility or the built environment with my studies at the Nicholas School.

What are your current career aspirations?

I’d like to help scale clean technology solutions that replace current carbon-intensive practices.
